Population ranking
Orders places by the estimated number of people associated with the selected governed identity lens.
Representation ranking
Orders eligible places by the community estimate as a percentage of the local population. It answers where the community has the strongest local presence.
ZIP estimates
ZIP/ZCTA results use direct governed estimates. Within-state rank columns compare eligible ZIP areas inside the same state.
County and metro estimates
County and metro figures are population-weighted ZIP allocations. Decimal estimates are expected and should not be read as direct Census county or CBSA tabulations.
Counties and equivalents
The county level includes official Census county equivalents, such as parishes, boroughs, census areas, and Connecticut planning regions.
Neighborhood context
Neighborhood names are connected to ZIP areas for orientation. No neighborhood estimate or neighborhood identity rank is created from a ZIP result.
Identity lenses stay separate
Ancestry, ethnicity, origin, race, and birthplace measures may overlap. The site never adds them together and never turns identity into a score.
Standard competition ranking
Ties use standard competition ranking: 1, 2, 2, 4. Every list identifies its eligible denominator.
